The B & B
Our Bed & Breakfast is located on the second floor (currently not served by an elevator) of a 15th-century palace.
The staircase is wide and comfortable. We are, of course, more than happy to help our guests carry their luggage up.
The wooden staircase between the first and second floor is quite beautiful. You will know you’ve reached the B & B by the two elegant friezes flanking its door.
The Salon
Breakfast is served in the salon, whose coffered timber ceiling is decorated with a Renaissance fresco.
There are antique pieces of furniture here, including a 19th century fortepiano that unfortunately no longer plays. There is, however, a modern piano that guests are welcome to use provided they do so during reasonable hours and do not disturb other guests.
In the salon and the adjacent corridor, you will also find two large wooden benches decorated with paintings that were produced in the 17th century.
The first-floor terrace
This terrace, on the same floor as the B&B, is equipped with patio furniture that enables guests to enjoy their breakfast while admiring the magnificent view—weather conditions permitting, of course.
The second-floor terrace
This is accessible through a spiral staircase.
The view from this upper terrace is breath-taking and perhaps the most beautiful of Bologna ( except for the one you can enjoy from the top of the medieval Asinelli tower, of course).
This terrace is equipped with sunbeds and a beach umbrella so you can relax while admiring the 360-degree view.
Parking
There is room for a car in the building’s courtyard while a second car can be parked in a garage that is about 450 meters way—or a 5-minute walk from Palazzo Marchesini.
