You are our welcome guests. However, we are unable to run a 24-hour reception desk as we are a private home. Please call and make arrangements for your arrival ahead of time—we’d hate for you to arrive and not find anyone to welcome you! Call at the following, always active number: (01139) 051 1990 1492.
Our services include lodging, breakfast, daily cleaning and a change of sheets and towels twice a week (or more, if need be).
Room cleaning: we will enter the rooms, if they are available, for cleaning everyday between 10:00am and 1:00pm. If the rooms are not available at any time during those hours, we will be unable to complete cleaning.
Booking: you can make a reservation via phone or email. Payment is due when you book the room and can be made either through a bank deposit or via credit card by following instructions on an email we will send (security is guaranteed by www.stripe.com). Your reservation is confirmed once we verify payment. That will occur immediately if you are paying by credit card or as soon as we receive a receipt of the bank deposit to the following email: msg@residenzapalazzomarchesini.it.
Cancellation and Reimbursements: No penalty is levied if you cancel up to 31 days before your planned arrival.
If you cancel between 16 and 31 days before your arrival, we will deduct a 30% penalty from the price you paid.
Canceling between 5 to 15 days prior to arrival incurs in a 60% penalty
while if you cancel any later than 5 days before your stay, you will forfeit the entire sum.

Not showing up for your reservation or cutting your stay short will not entitle you to any reimbursement.
Legal jurisdiction
Potential conflicts or controversy are to be arbitrated by the Bologna Tribunal according to Italian law.
Parking: Bologna’s historic center is not accessible to the cars of non-residents. Guests of a hotel or B & B facility, however, can obtain a permit free of charge by making a request through the owner of the facility. If you would like a permit, please let us know your license plates’ number and day of arrival at least two working days before your arrival. This permit you can reach our facility without penalties.
If you intend parking on the street, you will need another permit, which the B & B can provide, at the cost of € 9/day. Please know that finding parking on the street in the center of Bologna is not easy. If you wish to take advantage of the parking spot in our courtyard, the cost is € 20/day. If the courtyard spot is taken, after you have unloaded your luggage we will accompany you to our garage, which is 450 meters away. You do not need any permit to access this parking place. The cost is € 22/day.
NOTE: Palazzo Marchesini is not responsible for objects left in a car nor for potential damage to the vehicle whether it is parked in our courtyard or in our garage or anywhere else.
Arrival and Departure Times: Check-in starts at 2:00pm and ends at 8:00pm. Check-out is at 10:00am of your day of departure. Check-out time can be prolonged to 12:00pm provided there are no other reservations for your room on that day. Please let us know ahead of time your approximate time of arrival by calling the following, always active number: +39 (51) 1990 1492.
Registration: Guests above 14 years of age are required by law to show a valid I.D. when checking in.
Data Management: Data collected at check-in is managed according to existing laws; its privacy is protected and used exclusively for the purpose of the hosting activity. It will not be communicated or sold to third parties.
Guests of Guests: Registered guests cannot introduce other individuals into the house without the owner’s permission, who will need to register their I.D. if they are accepted.
Pets: Pets are not allowed.
Breakfast: This is served at an agreed upon time between 8:00 and 9:30am. If you need to have breakfast outside of that timeframe, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. Outside of those hours, you are not allowed to use the salon to eat food, nor can you do so in your room.
Things you should not do:
- Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the house, except on the terrace. Access to the kitchen is not allowed.
- Do not throw in the toilet anything that might clog them, such as personal hygiene items.

Guest Responsibilities:
- Guests are responsible for any damage to property or improper use of any services we provide.
- Guests must observe silence from 10:00pm to 8:00am and from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Appropriate behavior, such that will not cause a disturbance, must be observed at all times.
- Please turn off lights, TV and other appliances when leaving the house.
A Word to the Wise:
- Guests should take care of their property as the B & B is not responsible for any lost or stolen objects.
- Guests must lock and bolt the front door, take appropriate care of their keys.
- Do not leave keys inserted in the lock.
- Guests must return keys before their departure.
- Guests losing their keys will be charged for the expenses incurred in changing the locks and replacing 8 sets of keys.
